Job Responsibilities

The Administrative Specialist II/Customer Service Specialist position is located in the Contact Center, Alternative Media Unit, in Blythewood, South Carolina, Headquarters.The Administrative Specialist II/Customer Service Specialist (CSS) is responsible for customer service delivery to internal and external customers in the headquarters' office. The CSS reports directly to the Customer Service Supervisor or Unit Manager. The CSS typically performs routine or standard transactions.

Job Functions:
1. Prints and processes transactions for the mail-in, web driver services and for disabled placards.

2. Opens large volume of mail daily. Address changes by mail.

3. Processes MVR request through the mail.

4. Answers phone for internal and external customers.

5. Reconcile daily money report and prepares daily bank deposits in accordance with DMV policy.

6. Assists co-workers and unit manager as needed. Perform other duties as may be required by unit manager.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

A high school diploma and two years related job experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and related experience.

Ability to learn and operate equipment such as a hand held scanner, laminator and other office equipment. Proficient in basic computer skills. Ability to perform high volume manual work.

Under direct supervision, the employee is expected to complete the assembly of disabled placards to ensure timely issuance. This position requires the employee to follow procedures for the issuance of placards and use of equipment.

Works in a high pace production environment. Must be able to operate more than one laminator simultaneously and sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.

Preferred Qualifications

A high school diploma plus two years experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and related experience.
